Having the honor of working for Martha Stewart is like getting to go to finishing school with the best creatives in the industry. I think there will always be a soft spot in my heart for this amazing magazine and so grateful that I still get to help them out when they need me.
While I was employed there: I created idea-driven stories with the edit and style teams for covers, front of the book and features • Art direction (styling when needed) on photo shoots, managing teams of stylists and photographers • Photo editing and layout design, covers and special issues • Color management and retouching • Design and craft custom graphics and packaging • Trained and mentored junior designers and interns • Assisted and attend meetings for the Design Director and Editor-in- chief as needed • Weekly blog posts on color palette inspiration and photography.
